Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”

Acts 14:17 NIV

In the first part of this devotional, I mentioned yesterday how in the movie Rush hour, the daughter of a Chinese diplomat was kidnapped in America. He requested that one of his, a detective from Hong Kong be involved in the investigation because he is not from America as well as his daughter. In the same way, the Lord requested for us an advocate for we are not of this world.

“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” (John 17:16-17 ESV)

We all face trials in this world, without the help of the Holy Spirit, we might accept them as normal as the world does. But the truth is that Jesus has overcome them for us. That is why the Lord said, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth,...” ( John 16:13 ESV)

He will guide us into all the truth that we are blameless, holy, healed, prosperous and have escaped the decays of this world caused by sin.

Beloved, let us be brave for God does not leave himself without a testimony. The Lord in John 14:16 called the Holy Spirit another advocate, “ He is our advocate in all the trials we might face in this fallen world. Our pledge of good against the oppression of this world. (Psalms 119:122)

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE CONSCIOUS OF OUR TRUE WITNESS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
