OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN
WE RECEIVED A GLORIOUS LIFE
The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.
1 John 1:2 NIV
The new life we received in Christ is a glorified life. 1 Peter 1:11 said about “the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow.” We are the joint heirs with Christ to His glory, so our life is from glory to glory. An inherent life of glory at work in us because we are in Christ. “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.”. (Luke 6:43 NIV)
The scripture calls us God's own masterpiece. I like how the Passion translates it, “We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!” (Ephesians 2:10 TPT)
That is why our new life is a life that pleases God, a life of good deeds through our union with Christ. We don't worry when the thief comes to steal our joy, finances, marriages, health etc for we have eternal life. We are at peace during tribulations because Christ has overcome them. Glory!
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE THE GLORIOUS LIFE IN CHRIST TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
