WHEN THE LORD BUILDS UP ZION

When the Lord builds up Zion, He will appear in His glory.

Psalm 102:16 AMPC

Psalm 51:18–19 AMPC says: “Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Then will You delight in the sacrifices of righteousness…” Without God rebuilding and recreating us according to His divine purpose, we cannot fully live the life He intended for us on earth.

From the very beginning, God's plan for humanity was clear. Genesis 1:26 NKJV says:

“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion…’” We were created to reflect God's image, reveal His likeness, and exercise dominion under His authority.

Through Christ, we have been restored and made new. In Him, we are brought into the true purpose for which God created us—to reflect His nature and represent His kingdom on the earth. We are called to reign as His kings and priests, offering sacrifices that are pleasing and acceptable to the Most High God.

What a wonderful privilege! As the Lord builds up Zion, His glory becomes visible through His people. His work within us produces worship, righteousness, and lives that reveal His presence to the world. Therefore, let us give God the worship He seeks. For as Jesus said:“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
