HOW TO SHINE OUR LIGHT

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

‭‭John 1:4 NIV‬‬

Ponder this: the light we live by daily is His life, and in Him, the Word, is this life. Acts 17:28 NIV‬‬ says, “‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ This means we have no other environment to live, move and have our being except in Him, the Word. That is why He said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” ( ‭‭John 8:12 NIV‬‬)

To follow Jesus, is to partake in the light of life. That means to keep pondering His words daily aligning our thoughts with His thoughts, for in the word is His life and “that life was the light of all mankind.”

Psalm 1 tells us that those who ponder, His words bear fruit in due season. That was why the Lord told Joshua, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” ‭‭(Joshua 1:8 NIV‬‬)

Beloved, the more we meditate on the word day and night, we will see our way prosperous, our light will shine out there for the world to walk by. Remember in the word is His life and “that life was the light of all mankind.” St. Paul's letter to Timothy, “Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” ( ‭‭I Timothy 4:15-16 NKJV‬‬)

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE BY HIS WORDS SO AS TO SHINE OUR LIGHTS TO THE WORLD TO SEE AND GLORIFY GOD IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
